Hello! My name is Jay Seigneur and this is my website HandiTracker.com, a free online golf score tracker.
I created this site for the mere love of the game of golf as well as my passion for designing websites.
I am a CPA by profession but I enjoy tinkering around with websites on the side.
I have been playing golf since I was in high school and wanted to develop an easy way to keep track of my golf scores
and handicap. I designed my system in compliance with the official USGA handicap rules to accurately track handicaps.
I started using my own site back in 2005, and since then I have become more motivated to improving my golf game. I was able to drop
my handicap 10 strokes since using my own site! I believe golfers that keep track of their golf handicap have a better chance of
improving their game just by paying attention to their progress. That is what I designed this site to do, track your handicap so that
golfers may improve their game.
Handitracker uses a modified handicap system, based on the USGA's handicap
formula, to keep track of golfers' handicaps. The handicap formula used by this
website should be used for record keeping purposes only. The USGA requires a golf pro to verify all scores
included in a golfer's official USGA handicap. Although handitracker uses the actual USGA
formula to calculate your golf handicap, this handicap should not be used in golf tournaments. The official
USGA handicap system
should be used in competitive play.
